Who I am
The Judy Method is run by Judy Abramson. Business address: Y Tyddyn, Fishguard Rd, Newport, Pembrokeshire, SA42 0UB, United Kingdom. For privacy questions, contact judy@thejudymethod.co.uk.
What information I may collect
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Information you provide when you enquire, book or take part in coaching
- Relevant information about your profession, goals, previous OET results or communication difficulties
- Session notes, submitted practice work and written feedback created as part of coaching
- Booking and payment records
Why I use your information and the lawful basis
I use personal information to respond to enquiries, arrange and deliver coaching or diagnostics, manage bookings and payments, provide feedback, and keep appropriate business records.
The lawful basis will normally be contract where information is needed to provide a service you have asked for, legitimate interests for proportionate administration and follow-up, and legal obligation where records must be kept for tax or other legal reasons. Where consent is the appropriate basis, for example for an optional recording, I will ask for it.
Recordings
A role play or part of a session may be recorded only where it is useful for feedback and only with your explicit permission. You can say no. If you agree, you can also withdraw that permission for future recordings. Recordings will not be used for marketing or shared publicly without separate permission.
Third-party services
I may use services such as Calendly for booking, Stripe for payments, FormSubmit for the Supported Professional English application form, email providers for communication and WhatsApp for practical scheduling or follow-up. Those providers process data under their own privacy terms and may process information outside the UK using their own lawful transfer safeguards.
Automated decision-making and profiling
I do not use your personal information to make decisions about you solely by automated means, and I do not use automated profiling to decide whether you can receive coaching or a supported place. Applications and coaching decisions are reviewed personally by Judy.
How long I keep information
I keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for coaching, follow-up, business administration and legal or tax requirements. Material that is no longer needed will be deleted or securely disposed of.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access your personal data, ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, request deletion in some circumstances, restrict or object to certain processing, and raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can find information about making a complaint at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
This website itself does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies, and there are no embedded tracking scripts in the current build. If non-essential cookies or analytics are added later, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before they are used. When you follow an external link to services such as Calendly or Stripe, those providers may use cookies under their own policies.
